The Hadjiyska House In 2005, the biggest and most beautiful house in the village was open for visitors. It was built in 1853 by the famous Hadji Georgi Stanchovski and it is a cultural monument. The stone walls, trimmer joists, chimneys, ceilings, tile-stones and other details have been conserved or restored just like the original. The Gorno Voden monastery is located in the Chernatitsa ridge in the West Rhodopes. It is about 1 km to the south of the residential district Gorni Voden of the town of Assenovgrad. It was founded during the Second Bulgarian kingdom, most probably in the 14th century, on the place of the existing at present holly spring. Today the monastery represents a complex of a church and three stored buildings surrounding the church. The Gavatovska Guest House. The main pattern of the building was absolutely preserved. The Gavatovska house was built on few levels because of peculiarity of the landscape - at the ground floor is the tavern at the guests disposal equipped with a fireplace, kitchen annex and WC, at the next floor are situated 2 apartments with kitchen annexes and dining spots, 5 dbl rooms and a studio. "Hadjigergy's house" is over 250 years old. It was built by the artisan and entightener Hadjy Gergy. The house is renovated, while the interior was kept in its original state. The wood-carvings and all other hand-made wooden elements were completely preserved. The furnishing is almost the same as it was 250 years ago. There are 6 rooms in the house. Tsutsovi House The house was built just before the liberation from the Turkish slavery in 1878. It has been burnt down several times by the turkish soldiers, but the foundation remain so it could be renovated. The house has been pronounced for a memorial of culture in 1964. The Rila monastery originated in the 30s of the 10th c and soon after that became an important spiritual centre. It was founded by the monk Ivan Rilski in a secluded place in the magnificent Rila Mountain. At first he settled ,,alone with the beasts, with no roof over his head and no food". Soon he was followed by his disciples and this set the beginning of the monastery. Its glory spread so widely that the Bulgarian King Peter (927-968) wanted to meet the hermit but he refused the invitation and sent back the royal presents.
