Waterfalls are the most attractive spots in the river basins. They form where the longitudinal profile of the riverbed bends vertically to let the water fall as a foamy pillar. Here and there the bends are several and the water cascades. Of the 300 and more waterfalls of varying height in Bulgaria 71 are listed natural sights.
